National maintenance contractor Novus Property Solutions continues its success in the Yorkshire region with a third significant contract win in the historic county, this time a valuable four-year contract with Harrogate Borough Council to fit approximately 300 kitchens per year.
The announcement follows shortly after the company’s nationwide Maintain service was awarded a similar three-year maintenance contract by Leeds City Council, joining the kitchen installation contract that has been in place with East Riding of Yorkshire Council since February.
Novus, which recently streamlined its market offering into three dedicated work streams as part of its transformational long-term growth strategy, will carry out kitchen replacement works on 1,200 Harrogate Borough Council properties during the four-year contract, with work across Harrogate, Knaresborough, Pateley Bridge, Masham and the City of Ripon commencing in October 2021.
In Leeds, Novus will carry out a range of internal and external remedial works to Leeds City Council’s housing stock, also starting in October 2021, including damp treatment, external environmental works, repairing properties with wet or dry rot, and other general property refurbishment works.
In all three cases, Novus has also committed to giving back to the local communities: this ranges from commitments to using local labour and suppliers, to encouraging volunteering opportunities for its colleagues in the region by offering dedicated time for social value initiatives. In Harrogate, Novus will also donate goods and cash to charities in the area.
Commenting on the contract win, Novus Property Solutions’ Head of Operations, Charlie Cooley, said: “We’re delighted to have been awarded this contract with Harrogate Borough Council, as part of our strategic growth ambitions. We’re particularly pleased to be gaining further prominence in the Yorkshire region, following our contract wins in both Hull and Leeds.”
