National maintenance and compliance contractor Novus Property Solutions has been awarded a series of healthcare sector contracts and frameworks in the first quarter of the year, as it continues to execute its ambitious five-year growth strategy.
These latest contract and framework successes play an important role in the family-owned company’s strategy by further expanding on its robust healthcare services. Building upon its longstanding relationship with Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, Novus was recently awarded a contract for the refurbishment of the North West Lung Centre at Wythenshawe Hospital. Over a period of 10 weeks, Novus’ expert team will complete a variety of works including internal alterations, mechanical — including medical gases — and electrical, and lab furniture to create four lung functionality testing suites.
Novus has also been awarded a significant contract with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust to refurbish the Pharmacy Department’s existing space ahead of the arrival of its new robotic dispensing equipment, provided by its partner. The refurbishment will take place in three phases over a period of 14 weeks to ensure the pharmacy’s services remain operational with minimal disruption.
Alongside these recent healthcare-based contracts, Novus has successfully won a place on the coveted RISE framework in six categories. Showcasing Novus’ expertise across a range of disciplines, the contractor is now included in this framework for General Construction, Refurbishment, Civil Engineering, Mechanical and Electrical, Facilities Management, and Safety and Compliance.
Novus has also been awarded a place on the two-year NHS Shared Business Services Hard Facilities framework for 12 lots including Building Fabric Maintenance, Roofing and Guttering Services, General Gas Appliances, and Fire Doors.
In addition, Novus recently gained a place on the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Estates framework for Lot 2. The term of this framework is three years — with the ability to extend for a further year — and covers five hospitals across the region.
Commenting on these recent successes within the healthcare sector, Novus’ Head of Operations, Chris Murphy, said: “We’re delighted to have secured a number of prestigious frameworks and contracts within the first quarter of 2022, and we look forward to working on a range of projects across the country. So many successes within the healthcare sector in such a short space of time is evidence of not only Novus’ dedication to growth as a business, but also our vast knowledge and experience of working in a variety of healthcare environments.”
