First look at new homes for sale in Knowsley

Oriel Living (part of the First Ark Group), is involved in a project to deliver 100 new homes in Halewood and Kirkby, Merseyside, as part of a joint venture with Seddon RDP.

Oriel Living has released the first images of what the proposed development will look like. Designed for people struggling to get on the property ladder, Oriel has confirmed that the homes will be available for shared ownership and outright sale, with the option to use the Government’s Help to Buy scheme. The new homes will be built in two developments consisting of 50 properties each, and are part of Oriel’s strategy to increase the number of affordable homes for sale across the North West.

Mill Croft will see the development of elegant, countryside-style homes in Kirkby, an area currently undergoing a £200m regeneration. The Woodlands (pictured above) will be situated in Halewood and will provide modern, stylish homes designed for families, young professionals and first-time buyers.

Both developments will be a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom houses and two-bedroom bungalows.

Speaking about the new homes, Bob Taylor, Chief Executive at First Ark, said: “This is a big step towards our goal of increasing the supply of affordable housing in the North West. We have always had a very good relationship with Knowsley Council and that partnership working has allowed us to get to this point.”

Councillor Graham Morgan, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development at Knowsley Borough Council, said: “We are all looking forward to seeing these new homes completed. These developments support our vision of increasing the number and quality of homes in the borough and improving access to housing for our residents.

“We are committed to delivering a balanced housing offer which meets the needs of our residents and attracts new people to the borough.”

The two developments represent an investment of around £12m for Oriel and their joint venture partner Seddon.
