Durham housing association makes top regional and sector lists

A two-year old housing association has earned a place on two prestigious Best Companies lists.

believe housing has ranked #12 in the UK’s 25 Best Housing Associations to Work For at this year’s awards, making it the only north east housing association to make the list this year, and believe housing also made the #25 spot in the North East’s 30 Best Companies to Work For list.

The Best Companies survey is the most respected measure of workplace engagement in the country, and its annual list celebrate the very best in workplace engagement.

The regional and sector list announcements complement believe housing’s recent ‘two-star’ Best Companies accreditation, which came  earlier in 2021, a mere two years after the organisation was formed.

The survey, given to more than 530 believe housing employees, focused on eight factors including leadership, wellbeing and fairness. believe housing scored particularly highly on the positive contribution that the organisation makes to the wider community; scoring more strongly than most ‘two-star’ firms.

Chief Executive of believe housing, Bill Fullen, said: “Earning a place on not one but two of Best Companies’ prestigious lists, after receiving a two-star outstanding to work for accreditation, are great achievements we can all be proud of.

“At believe housing we see our workplace engagement as a vital part of our success as a business and I am very proud of what we have achieved in a short space of time. I know we have more great achievements to come thanks to the hard work and commitment from our employees.

“To ensure our employees can deliver their best work for our customers, we will continue our focus on their wellbeing and strive to make believe housing a great place to work.”

“At any time, this would be a cause for celebration but to achieve these results during a pandemic should not be underestimated.”
