Building a Safer Future announces six new leadership and culture completers

Building a Safer Future has announced a bumper sixth crop of organisations to complete Stage 1 in its building safety assessment scheme.

The varied nature of the new tranche of Leadership and Culture module completers represents organisations from multiple sectors of the built environment industry — from principal contractors and refurbishment contractors to construction consultancies and housing providers. Each organisation has engaged in a specialised assessment pathway tailored to their individual business activities.

Baily Garner LLP, Fortis Vision Ltd, McLaren Construction, N-Able Group, Places for People Group and PRP Architecture LLP have all been awarded the ‘Certificate of Commitment and Progress — Building Safety Stage One’ in recognition of their achievements.

Leadership and Culture is the first of two stages of the BSF Champion assessment, and together with the second stage (Corroborating Elements), requires organisations to commit to putting building users first in an ongoing building safety journey. Organisations that successfully complete both stages are awarded BSF Champion status, and benefit from actionable data and practical tools to help review and upgrade processes and regain public trust following the Grenfell Tower disaster.

Steve Elliott, Non-Executive Chair of Building a Safer Future, commented: “It’s wonderful to start the year with the announcement of such a varied group of organisations completing the first Champion assessment module.”

Gary Townsend-Vila, Interim Chief Executive of Building a Safer Future, commented: “Congratulations to these organisations, who are stepping up and proving their commitment to building safety — setting an admirable example to the rest of the industry. We would like to see many more organisations following their lead in putting peoples’ safety first by registering for the BSF Champion assessment.”
