Local affordable housing provider, Grand Union Housing Group, has transformed the site of an old, disused swimming pool into 24 much need family homes.
The Wellingborough-based homes, which are just off Croyland Road, are a mix of two- and three-bedroom properties. They are available both for social rent and via shared ownership, a truly affordable way for people to buy a home.
Grand Union’s Director of Development & Commercial, Dave Lakin, said: “At Grand Union, we want to provide people with safe, quality affordable housing where they can put down roots. These homes are suitable for everyone and have been designed to be wheelchair accessible and with the possibility of adding chargers for electric cars in the future.
“We are facing a housing crisis, and so we are delighted to be able to play our part in providing affordable, high-quality housing in Wellingborough.”
The homes, which were built and designed by Parrott Construction and Bob Harrington Design, are part of 1,500 Grand Union has committed to build over the next five years to play its part in ending the housing crisis.
