Novus completes first Pagabo Refit and Refurbishment Framework V2

Leading maintenance, refurbishment and decarbonisation contractor Novus Property Solutions has completed an 11-week summer refurbishment works programme at Loughborough University, in the first contract awarded through Lot 1 of the £1bn Pagabo Refit and Refurbishment Framework.

Pagabo announced Novus as one of 93 framework suppliers in May, and the contractor was the first of these to start work on site, with work commencing in late June. The refurbishment contract, valued at £300,000, featured a variety of works across Loughborough University’s student accommodation and academic buildings, including plumbing and electric works and redecoration.

Due to the nature of the contract, Novus’ team completed the works under the strict timeframe of the university’s summer break period, minimising disruption to students and staff.

Kyle Wright, Framework Manager at Novus Property Solutions said: “We’re proud to have been awarded the very first contract of this framework, demonstrating our commitment as well as our continuously growing reputation in the region and in the education sector. Our team’s vast experience in delivering refit and refurbishment works meant we were able to complete this contract on time and on budget, all while exceeding client expectations. This has been a fantastic project to set the tone for our partnership with Pagabo, and we’re looking forward to successfully completing further schemes over the next four years.”

Adam Brumfitt, Regional Delivery Manager for the Midlands at Pagabo, commented: “We’re delighted to see that Novus Property Solutions has completed its first Pagabo procured project, following its appointment to the latest iteration of our Refit and Refurbishment Framework. The improvements made to Loughborough University are of huge benefit to enhancing the students’ experience there and we are proud to know that our framework played a part in achieving this. Great work from everyone involved in getting this project over the line.”

Nigel Worth, Contracts and Business Services Manager at Loughborough University, added: “Accessing Pagabo’s framework was straightforward and an easy journey into engaging with Novus. At our first meeting with Novus, its team were able to give us confidence in their ability to deliver our summer works activity. The estimated work doubled over a few weeks, but Novus was agile and proactive in ramping up and delivering our requirements, offering skilled tradespersons and supervision to carry out the work effectively.”
