Novus Property Solutions, one of the country’s leading maintenance, decarbonisation and compliance contractors, has plenty of cause for celebration after hitting the halfway mark on its 10-year anniversary fundraising challenge just as colleagues across the company came together to celebrate the occasion.
The company has a proud history of giving back to communities and charities, and when Novus asked colleagues to help raise a total of £10,000 for good causes, the team took up the challenge — with Novus committing to matching the funds raised. And now, just four months into the challenge, the business has announced that funds have already hit the halfway mark.
Fundraising efforts include a monthly company-wide raffle, with all proceeds going directly to the company’s two chosen charity partners, The Lighthouse Club, which offers financial and emotional support to those working in the UK construction industry, and national homelessness and advocacy charity Shelter. Staff are also taking on individual challenges for causes close to their own hearts to ensure that the impact is felt as widely as possible.
The milestone coincided with Novus’ official 10th anniversary celebrations, which took place across their GB-wide network of 20 offices. All employees gathered together in their regional hubs to mark the occasion with parties, games and fundraising activities.
Novus may have launched a decade ago, but the business is part of a family business with a rich 126-year history. Currently owned by fourth and fifth generation Seddon family members, the business’ shareholders and Board are all playing an active role in the celebrations and fundraising activities.
Alongside its charitable efforts, Novus’ year-long celebrations will feature colleague-centred recognition schemes including its ‘Shining Stars’ employee of the month initiative, with an end-of-year ceremony to announce the chosen Shining Star for the year. There are also teambuilding days in the works and good-natured competitive challenges between regional offices across Great Britain.
Commenting on the 10-year celebrations and charity milestone, Sophie Seddon-Hall, Non-Executive Director at Novus Property Solutions said: “Throughout its 10-year history, our Novus colleagues have proven themselves to be generous with their time and money, whether that’s volunteering to refurbish a community centre close to one of our projects, or joining in with raffles and prize draws. So it comes as no surprise to me that we are already so far ahead with our anniversary fundraising efforts!
“I’m enormously proud of everyone’s involvement so far, and it was wonderful to bring people together from across the company to celebrate their fundraising achievements, inspire even more great work and thank everyone for their contributions to Novus’ success in the past decade.”
