The Sovini Group deliver affordable housing for Chorley

Construction, property, and facilities services company, The Sovini Group, has commissioned an affordable housing development, delivering more than 50 homes as they strive to build a better future for the local community.

Sovini Construction, proudly part of The Sovini Group, has acquired the five-acre site in Euxton, Chorley.

The scheme, named Daisy Bank Meadows, will provide 51 homes including 41 three- and four-bedroom houses and 10 one-bedroom apartments arranged around two cul-de-sacs, all available on Shared Ownership and Affordable Rent tenures for client One Vision Housing.

The affordable homes border idyllic greenfield land near Dunrobin Drive, and the River Yarrow.

The homes will be delivered as part of the Group’s development framework which aims to combat high housing costs, through the creation of over 1,000 high quality, affordable homes within the next five years.

The homes have been designed by Architects Gallagher Technical with modern living in mind and are being constructed using a ‘fabric first’ approach that focuses on the reduction of energy consumption, through thermal efficiency and running costs. The development features environmentally efficient specifications, supplied by the Group’s independent building merchant Sovini Trade Supplies, including toilets, taps, showers, and light fittings. As well as solar technology, contributing towards the Group’s net zero carbon commitment.

Additionally, the Group’s in-house specialists’, facilities, and maintenance provider Sovini Property Services, will continue to maintain the development to a high standard upon completion.

James Flannery, Director of Construction and Land at Sovini Construction, commented: “The Daisy Bank Meadows development has been designed and built to the highest standard. The development strives to be energy-efficient as we continue to embrace renewable technologies with an environmentally friendly approach to construction. Building a better future for One Vision Housing’s customers by creating sustainable social impact and transforming local communities was and will continue to be central to all our operations.”

Ian Mitchell, Managing Director of One Vision Housing, said: “Thanks to the hard work of the Group’s property and construction supply chain, we are proud to bring these high quality, affordable homes to residents in Chorley. Ensuring value for money to One Vision Housing, the development delivers on our Group’s vision of a better future, as we create opportunities and change lives by helping local people to get onto the property ladder.”

Ian added: “We look forward to collaborating with Sovini Construction and Group partners to deliver our ambitious development framework, for years to come.”
