Formal opening of new Woodbury office is another milestone of the partnership between Ian Williams and East Devon District Council (EDDC).
Ian Williams recently opened a new office in Woodbury, Exmouth. Established to exclusively serve the district, the office will be the central hub for the delivery of EDDC’s new integrated asset management contract, which will see Ian Williams manage all aspects of the maintenance and improvements of the council’s 4,200 East Devon properties over the next 10 years.
Councillor Megan Armstrong commented during the opening event: “We officially launched the new partnership with Ian Williams on the 1st July, a date that marked the end of a long journey that started back in 2016 when we began to review our repairs’ service. At the heart of this process has been, and always will be, our tenants. We listened carefully to what they wanted, involving them in the process at each step.
“We challenged ourselves and the service we were giving and have pushed the boundaries of what we do to create a fresh, innovative approach with the Ian Williams’ team. This new service brings many benefits including a more efficient appointment system, co-location in Exmouth Town Hall and the introduction of property MOTs. We’re delighted with the strong partnership we’ve already formed with them and early feedback suggests that tenants are pleased with the changes.”
Amy Gilbert-Jeans, EDDC Acting Housing Service Lead commented on the event: “It was fantastic to hear how tenants, housing officers and Ian Williams all came together — we really are one team.”
