Grand Union committed to go ‘Further together’ with new corporate plan

Milton Keynes-based affordable housing provider, Grand Union Housing Group, has set out a number of ambitious and exciting goals in its new corporate plan, called ‘Further together’.

From building 1,900 new homes and being both financially and environmentally sustainable to challenging stigma and celebrating diversity, ‘Further together ‘looks to build on the strong foundations the 12,000-home association has put in place during the past five years.

The new three-year plan is based on four clear commitments, which each have a number of dimensions:

  • We take our responsibilities seriously — for today and tomorrow
  • We serve our customers and their communities fairly and with integrity
  • We support our people in their service
  • We’re an honest and constructive partner

Aileen Evans, Group Chief Executive at Grand Union, said: “As a housing provider, we have the power to change things for good. This new plan and the commitments we’re making will see us build more homes, stronger communities and better lives.

“We know that what we do matters, which is why Further together is aimed at deserving and retaining the trust of our customers, our colleagues and our wider stakeholders.”

The new plan comes after Grand Union recently agreed funding deals worth £237m, which will enable them to push ahead with plans to build more homes, despite the current uncertainty in the economy.
