Galliford Try appoints Algeco as strategic building hire partner

Algeco has been appointed as a strategic partner by Galliford Try for the supply of temporary modular buildings for hire.

Galliford Try project sectors include education, defence, health, highways, water, environment, custodial and judicial, rail, commercial, urban living investments, facilities management and telecoms; and all are covered by the two-year agreement with Algeco.

The two-year strategic partnership between Galliford Try and Algeco runs to 2024 and extends to all Galliford Try Group businesses including Morrison Construction.

As a preferred strategic partner, Algeco will supply a full range of temporary buildings and 360 solutions for hire across all of the Galliford Try sectors. The company was selected due to its track record of delivering projects to required specifications and deadlines whilst providing cost certainty, and our ability to assist Galliford Try on its path to becoming net carbon zero by 2030 in it’s own operations.

Galliford Try’s thorough supplier evaluation process identified Algeco’s portfolio of buildings including its Traditional AV+ B rated units and Moduflex solution as their products of choice due to their many stand out energy-efficient features, wide range of sizes and specifications, multi-storey capabilities, and ease of installation with minimal foundations.

The Algeco team provide a consultative approach, its buildings are designed taking into account what is important to Galliford Try. Each layout is tailored to suit projects specific requirements, taking into account equality, diversity, inclusivity and sustainability in each design.

During the first year of the agreement, Algeco has already supplied many Galliford Try sites with full turnkey solutions from foundations to hand over of a completed building, providing aesthetically pleasing and sustainable accommodation that is ready to work from, leaving the construction company to concentrate on what they do best.

Another key benefit of Algeco is that projects will be sourced from multiple depots around the country, meaning that buildings are always sourced with minimal travel distance to and from the site location, thus supporting Galliford Try’s commitment to reducing CO2e.

Algeco shares Galliford Try’s vision to be a people-orientated, progressive, values driven business, delivering lasting change for their stakeholders and communities they work in.

Kristian O’Brien, Supply Chain Manager (Central Procurement/Supply Chain) at Galliford Try, said: “Galliford Try appointed Algeco as a preferred supplier on a two-year agreement following a comprehensive review of the market.”

Kristian added: “Whilst the agreement is in its infancy, Algeco have wasted no time in becoming engrained into the culture of our business and building solid relationships, which is supported by excellent service levels and proactiveness. Andy Brind, Strategic Key Accounts Director at Algeco, commented: “It’s clear that Galliford Try is a forward-thinking company that is committed to inclusivity and sustainability.
