Work on one of the North West’s biggest private rental schemes is set to start in Salford later this year. The £48m Dock 5 development is being built by ForLiving.
ForLiving offers high quality homes for sale, shared ownership and private rent and is the commercial arm of ForViva. The ForViva Group also includes Liberty, which delivers property services across gas, repairs, maintenance and construction, and ForHousing, which owns and manages more than 24,000 homes.
The Dock 5 development will include 389 apartments and feature onsite cinema rooms, a residents’ lounge and a gym. It is located less than 10 minutes’ drive from MediaCityUK, the eight-storey scheme in Fairbrother Street, Ordsall, designed by multi-award-winning architect Falconer Chester Hall.
Paul Gerrard Director of ForLiving, said: “Dock 5 is an incredibly unique development, with luxury communal facilities rarely seen in Greater Manchester.
“Ordsall is fast becoming a prime location for both commuters and young people. We wanted to reflect that youthful vibrancy by providing the ultimate in urban living. We are delighted to deliver this to the local community.
“This scheme is the latest in the Group’s commitment to developing state-of-the-art properties across the North West region.”
Dock 5 is due to be completed in 2023.
