Ventilation manufacturer EnviroVent has launched a Condensation and Mould Awareness workshop — offering guidance to help housing associations and local authorities deal with these issues.
Through the free workshops, EnviroVent aims to help social housing providers to reduce the burden on their maintenance teams during the colder months when problems with condensation and mould are more likely to occur.
Delivered by fully trained ventilation specialists, the workshops provide attendees with an in-depth insight into what causes condensation and mould and how to improve indoor air quality in tenants’ homes.
John Moss, Head of Social Housing Sales at EnviroVent, said: “Condensation and mould growth can prove to be a major headache for social housing maintenance teams in the winter months. This course is designed to provide comprehensive training on how to identify the signs of condensation and mould in the early stages, assess which solutions will solve the problem in a property, and prevent it from reoccurring.”
The company has also released a pocket sized Hero’s Guide to Defeating Condensation and Mould, which includes hints and tips for social housing providers and their tenants. All delegates that register for the workshop will receive a copy of the guide and a free infrared thermometer.
