Baxi Heating has taken its CIBSE-accredited CPD seminar series online to enable building services professionals to continue to develop their knowledge and keep their CPD record up to date.
The programme of free seminars is being delivered live via Microsoft Teams by Baxi Heating’s expert specification team, providing the opportunity for immediate questions and open discussion.
The Baxi Heating CPD series includes ‘Bespoke prefabricated heating solutions’, ‘Heat Networks’, ‘Maximising CHP efficiency and savings’, and ‘Commercial and Industrial Hot Water Generation Design Principles’, with further CPDs now in development.
The highly topical ‘Bespoke prefabricated heating solutions’ CPD explores the benefits of offsite fabrication to consultants and contractors in enabling safe, rapid, high quality installations and budget and programme savings.
Heat networks form an important part of the government’s plans to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. The Baxi Heating Heat Networks CPD covers sizing of equipment and system demand, hot water production and cylinder recovery, as well as the legionella question, and provides sizing examples and comparisons.
Addressing the ongoing need to balance building costs with improved energy efficiency, the CHP CPD discusses the continuing financial drivers for CHP, identifies which sites are suitable for this technology and offers advice on how to maximise efficiency and savings.
The last few months have underlined the critical role of the hot water service in ensuring building occupant safety. Baxi Heating’s fourth CPD looks at design principles that will maximise the performance and efficiency of commercial hot water generation.
All seminars are CIBSE accredited.
Tom Murray, Baxi Heating’s Specification Director, said:“We’re delighted to be able to offer our popular CPD seminars in a live webinar format that ensures the safety of all participants while allowing for lively discussion and debate on the latest equipment and techniques.
“Our common goal is to drive down energy waste and improve energy efficiency in UK building stock,” Tom added. “As manufacturers, we have a key role to play in sharing our expert knowledge of both our products and their applications to avoid a performance gap and help achieve this target.’
