Partners in a regeneration scheme that will provide more than 500 much-needed homes for residents of Southall, West London, met at a ground-breaking ceremony this week to celebrate the start of construction.
PA Housing’s Park Avenue development will be located in the heart of the community and is being delivered in partnership with Ealing Council and constructed by housebuilder The Hill Group.
The phased project, which will provide a total of 516 homes, is also being supported by funding from the Greater London Authority (GLA), with PA Housing working with the GLA to provide all the homes as affordable.
Existing residents currently living on Milan Road will be given the option to move into one of the new affordable-rented homes, delivered in phase one, on the same terms as their current tenancy.
Comprising a mix of one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom homes, the development will help meet local housing needs upon completion of the development and each block will have its own play area alongside a shared central facility.
As well as significantly increasing affordable housing, the scheme will be built to the Future Homes Standard 2025, delivering a high level of sustainability and minimising the impact on the local environment through the installation of solar panels and air source heat pumps.

Working with our GLA and PA Housing partners, we will continue to deliver affordable and accessible housing for Southall and borough residents.”
Tom Copley, Deputy Mayor at the GLA for Housing and Residential Development, said: “This exciting development will provide much-needed affordable new homes to the residents of Southall, as well as offering play areas and shared facilities. Building to the Future Homes Standard 2025 also means there is minimal impact on the environment, with solar panels and air source heat pumps providing sustainable housing that can be enjoyed for decades to come in this vibrant community.”
