whg has announced its first development in Stourbridge, as it continues its aim to build more affordable homes for people across the region.
The leading Midlands’ landlord has exchanged contracts with Revelan Group for 51 one-, two- and three-bed homes on the former Tudor Dairies site on Lowndes Road in Stourbridge.
whg has worked with Revelan Group, architects BM3, consultants RPS and Dudley MBC on the scheme, which includes 15 for shared ownership and 36 for affordable rent. Work has already commenced on site with the first houses set for completion by Summer 2023.
Rebecca Bennett Casserly, Corporate Director of Development, said: “We’re excited to be expanding our offer and building homes for the first time in Stourbridge.
“This site has stood derelict for some time. The new scheme will breathe new life into a brownfield site and transform unused land into a thriving community within walking distance of the local facilities and Stourbridge town centre.
“We look forward to seeing our first development with Revelan take shape, and to build even more affordable homes for families in Dudley.”
Paul Doolan, of Revelan Group, said: “Revelan are delighted to be working with whg on the redevelopment of this site in Stourbridge where Amphion Construction are already making excellent progress on the construction of these new homes.”
