Weaver Vale Housing Trust set to welcome families to new homes in Crewe

Weaver Vale Housing Trust (WVHT) has reached an exciting milestone as eight customers have signed up for their new homes at Pool Lane, Winterley — providing much-needed affordable rent and shared ownership homes for local residents.

In total, WVHT will offer 19 homes at the development: eight one-bedroom apartments and two two-bedroom apartments for affordable rent, along with five two-bedroom houses and four three-bedroom homes for shared ownership.

Developed by Seddon Homes, the new homes are part of a larger 54-home development at the Astbury Gardens site, with the remaining properties available for open market sale.

This development supports WVHT’s ‘Our Homes and Places’ strategy, which focuses on meeting the needs of existing and new customers by providing safe, desirable, and high-quality energy-efficient homes across Cheshire and Warrington.

Michael Jefferson, Managing Director at Seddon Homes, said:”At Seddon Homes, we’re dedicated to building homes that not only meet the highest standards of design and sustainability but also make a real difference in people’s lives.

“We’re delighted to have worked closely with WVHT to deliver affordable housing options that will benefit the community for years to come and look forward to welcoming new residents to Astbury Gardens.”

Gemma Wood, Director of Regeneration and New Homes at WVHT, commented: “We believe that everyone deserves access to a safe and affordable home, and this new development is a significant step forward in our commitment to providing quality, affordable homes for local residents.

“Together, with Seddon Homes, we’re helping more families and individuals put down roots in a thriving community.”

The remaining affordable homes at Pool Lane will be handed over to WVHT later this year.
