Two Rivers Housing announce partnership with Bellway

Two Rivers Housing has formed a new partnership with property developer Bellway, taking on affordable homes at two of its newest sites.

The schemes at Tutshill and Newent will provide 68 new homes for low-cost rent and Shared Ownership, with completion phased across the next two years. Two Rivers has partnered with 10 construction companies, taking Section 106/affordable properties at 13 locations throughout Gloucestershire.

The relationship with Bellway is new, and both parties look forward to working together. Angharad Hodge, Development Team Leader at Two Rivers Housing said: “Bellway is building in areas where we know there is great demand from tenants and we are delighted to be partnering with them to help meet that need.

“The company is well-established and has a reputation for building quality homes, and we are confident in the success of these two schemes.”

Simon Hughes, Development Manager at Bellway added: “As a five-star builder, Bellway is proud to build high quality homes for private sale, Shared Ownership and affordable rent.

“As we expand our presence across Gloucestershire, we are delighted to be partnering with Two Rivers Housing to ensure our affordable homes in Newent and Tutshill are delivered and managed efficiently.

“The partnership demonstrates the important role played by new homes’ developers in providing affordable homes. Our new developments will also generate investment in infrastructure such as education, healthcare and transport as part of our additional Section 106 obligations.”

Two Rivers Housing has committed to provide more than 100 homes every year for the next decade. The two developments with Bellway are:
• Picklenash Grove, Ross Road, Newent — 32 homes (23 affordable rent; nine Shared Ownership).
• Manor Close, Gloucester Road, Tutshill — 36 homes (25 affordable rent; 11 Shared Ownership).
