Building, maintenance and decarbonisation specialist, J Tomlinson, has been announced as a finalist in three categories of the annual National Energy Efficiency Awards in testament to the many environmentally and socially conscious contributions the company has made over recent years.
Due to be held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on 18th February, the awards motivate and recognise progress and the achievements of firms and individuals working within the energy efficiency sector.
The company has been shortlisted for a range of highly coveted accolades, including Social Responsibility Company of the Year, which looks at how an organisation’s operations have had a positive effect on society and the environment, and Renewable Heat Installer of the Year, which recognises organisations that are involved with the installation, implementation or maintenance of energy efficient heating systems including ground, water and air source heat pumps, solar, and biomass boilers.
In addition, the company’s highly successful Toll Bar House scheme, delivered in partnership with Erewash Borough Council, has been announced a finalist in the Multi-Measure Project of the Year category. The project, which featured the introduction of a raft of low carbon technologies including roof-mounted solar PV, battery storage, LED lighting, new thermal insulation, was highly commended at the East Midlands Energy Efficiency Awards, which took place in October 2021.
It was at the 2019 National Energy Efficiency Awards that J Tomlinson was awarded its very first national accolade, and the company is hopeful for further recognition at this year’s event, with Chief Executive Mark Davis commenting: “The COVID-19 pandemic has presented huge challenges to all sectors, and to have been recognised for our commitment to creating a low carbon future in the face of such adversity and uncertainty is extremely rewarding and testament to our team. Organisations are under immense pressure to meet carbon targets and we are thoroughly enjoying working with so many forward-thinking sector leaders in helping to identify low carbon opportunities and future-proofing their assets.
“The schemes undertaken by J Tomlinson in partnership with our clients across various sectors are benefitting so many individuals, organisations and our planet as a whole by reducing carbon emissions, future-proofing domestic and commercial buildings, and providing affordable warmth.
“We are excited to attend the awards and join like-minded companies and individuals in recognising national leaders in energy efficiency.”
