The Structural Timber Association (STA) will be chairing a leading speaking slot at Futurebuild 2024 on the Timber in Construction (TiC) Policy Roadmap under the event’s banner message of ‘CHANGE’.

The panel discussion takes place on the 7th March at 13:15 on the Materials stage at London’s ExCeL, and will see the STA’s Chief Executive, Andrew Carpenter chairing a discussion on the TiC Roadmap, delving deeper into what the policy means for the structural timber industry, its members and the wider construction industry. On the speaker panel is David Hopkins, Chief Executive of TDUK with Alex Goodfellow, Chairman of the Confederation of Timber Industries (CTI), STA Board Member and CEO of Donaldsons Offsite.

Andrew Carpenter, said: “Futurebuild is one of the most influential events for innovation and collaboration, and I am pleased to be speaking on behalf of the STA. The TiC Roadmap is a key milestone for the industry, and this is the perfect opportunity to explore it in more detail with some of the keenest and most experienced minds in the industry. We’ll be identifying the key elements of the roadmap and defining what the industry is doing to support its delivery and how we increase the use of structural timber in construction.”

Futurebuild, which takes place from 5th – 7th March, positions itself as more than just a sustainability event. Futurebuild brings together influential innovators, collaborators and decision makers to tackle the big issues head on throughout the event.
