Leading global engineering and design firm, Stantec has announced that two of its Stantec.io solutions, CommunityEngage and CommunityHQ, have been registered on G-Cloud 13, part of the Crown Commercial Services Framework.
G-Cloud 13 launches on the 9th November 2022 and will replace G-Cloud 12, a digital marketplace helping UK public sector organisations find and procure the latest cloud software and support services.
The framework allows local authorities, local enterprise partnerships and other public sector bodies to access cloud computing solutions through a procurement process that satisfies competition rules, provides the fastest route to market and delivers best value.
Stantec.io Community Engage is a bespoke platform that helps showcase a compelling strategic case for planning projects, while capturing meaningful feedback from the public and project stakeholders to help inform the decision-making process. Clients will now be able to procure the tool through the framework to create accessible, GDPR-compliant forums that, with the support of a dedicated digital team, reach a broader audience than traditional consultations with the option to target specific demographics or community groups.
Stantec.io Community HQ is a digital toolkit that enables users to gather real-time, insightful information directly from a community so they can respond to their needs faster and more inclusively than ever before. Using advanced analytics and the power of crowdsourced data, clients can access social feedback on projects, programs and policies or identify hidden service issues that aren’t detected by conventional systems and processes.
The framework announcement follows the launch of Stantec’s Better Places Report, in partnership with Reading University, which calls for greater use of digital data to support the inclusion of social value in strategic decisions around land. In the newly launched Better Places report, the case is made for a National Place Portal where data from multiple sources and datasets can be combined in parallel with community engagement methods. Commenting on G-Cloud 13, Dave Roberts, Global IT Director at Stantec, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer our cloud-based community engagement solutions through the G-Cloud 13 Digital Marketplace. In recent years we’ve seen how effective digital techniques could be in planning, and digital innovations are now seen by Government, and many practitioners, as providing a route to better planning outcomes. Our appointment to the framework provides our public sector clients with faster, more cost-effective access to the Stantec.io solutions that will help make this vision a reality.”
