Qualis Management has formed a partnership with Crystal Clear Windows to provide a sustainable, cost-effective and innovative solution for the repair of failed and ‘misted’ double-glazed windows for its customers.
Using a specially developed solution, Crystal Clear Windows removes condensation from between the panes and restores the existing window back to the clarity and thermal performance levels of a non-failed or new unit, without having to remove or replace the glass. This in turn reduces the amount of glass waste going to landfill, provides a cost and CO2 saving and improves the customer experience, with all work carried out in just one visit.
Ben Johnson, Managing Director of Qualis Management commented: “We are committed to providing a high-quality service to our customers and stakeholders through creative solutions, commercial expertise, and partnerships. Working with Crystal Clear Windows does just this, allowing us to not only improve the customer experience but use innovative ways to reduce our impact on the environment.
“Customers can be reassured that using this service allows us to restore windows to their previous thermal performance, and it can be done quickly from the outside of the property, so we don’t even require them to be at home in most cases.”
Working with Crystal Clear, the company has forecasted that in one-year Qualis Management can expect to divert 9.5 tonnes of waste glass from landfill, which is enough to cover Wimbledon Centre Court four times over and reduce CO2 emissions by 104 tonnes, the equivalent of a family sized car travelling 31,200 miles, or one and a half times around the world.
Nick Roebuck, Director of Crystal Clear Windows said: “We are delighted to be working with Qualis and its customers. Their very clear drive to improve the customer experience by embedding new and innovative practices into its responsive repairs activity service is truly refreshing and something we are proud to be a part of.
Crystal Clear have been repairing double glazed units within the social housing sector since 2009 and now provide for some 50 Registered providers, Registered Social landlords and their major contracting partners like Qualis. The company is seeing a real ground swell now within the sector towards challenging the norm, driving out costly and intrusive maintenance practices and stamping out avoidable waste and CO2 in order to protect the shared environment, something that Crystal Clear strive to support.
