Progress Housing Group is delighted to team up with Blackpool-based housebuilder Breck Homes to deliver 55 much-needed affordable homes in Catterall.
The development will comprise of two- and three-bedroom houses and one-bedroom apartments across the 3.5-acre site, which is located in Wyre, Lancashire and is next to the recently completed Beacon Retail Park.
Wyre Council approved plans for the project in September 2020. The £8.5m scheme has been supported by funding from government agency Homes England and will provide a mix of affordable rent and shared ownership homes.
Daniel Griffiths, Operations Director for Progress Housing Group, said: “We are delighted to be delivering this scheme in partnership with Breck. Once completed in early 2022, the development will provide much-needed and high-quality affordable homes for a range of families, along with opportunities to get onto the housing ladder.”
Breck Founder Andy Garnett added: “We have made a flying start to the work in a safe and controlled manner. It is the start of big things in our housing division; we already have a significant number of projects in the pipeline. It is a privilege to be working with the Progress Team again on our very first affordable housing scheme.”
Breck, based at Blackpool Technology Park, has three divisions: Breck Holdings, which focuses on commercial property investment opportunities, Breck Developments, specialising in strategic land opportunities and special projects, and Breck Homes, the group’s affordable housebuilding arm.
