Plentific launches IoT pilot for damp and mould monitoring

Real-time property operations innovator Plentific has launched its new exclusive IoT pilot for damp and mould monitoring, simplifying Awaab’s Law compliance and keeping residents safer.

The Connected Homes Report by the Disruptive Innovators Network (DIN) recently found that widespread adoption of connected technology is being held back by fragmented data and other barriers, with 63% of IoT alerts identifying issues residents had not yet reported.

The Report concluded that connected technology can radically transform the social housing sector, with faster, preventative action from predictive maintenance reducing repairs costs by up to 30% and smart sensors cutting energy use by up to 20%.

Addressing this need and preparing for the implementation of Phase 2 of Awaab’s Law next year, Plentific’s IoT pilot programme gives local authorities and housing providers the opportunity to experience how connected sensors and real-time data can transform damp and mould management, from reactive repairs to proactive.

The damp and mould monitoring is fully embedded into Plentific’s all-in-one multi-award winning platform, enabling Property Managers to take a proactive approach with real-time data, improving safety, reducing costs and enhancing resident wellbeing.

Cem Savas, CEO of Plentific, said: “I’m really excited to launch our IoT pilot for damp and mould monitoring, which is a big step forward in helping landlords to simplify Awaab’s Law and keep residents safer and healthier.

“We know from experience how challenging compliance can be, having multiple systems and disconnected manual data which doesn’t often translate into action. At Plentific, our goal is to make IoT simple and scalable, a natural part of how you work every day.

“We’ve built something much better; our IoT pilot is fully embedded into the Plentific platform. When sensors detect signs of damp and mould or poor air quality, it doesn’t just alert you, it acts.”
