Pinnacle Power appointed to Fife Council’s innovative Metering and Billing framework

Pinnacle Power has successfully been appointed as a contractor on an innovative Metering and Billing procurement framework commissioned by Fife Council — a new platform, aimed at supporting local Scottish authorities and social housing providers in procuring services for District Heat Networks.

Pinnacle Power will provide meter and billing provision, as well as ongoing customer service, repair, and maintenance, installation and management for district heating networks.

Lee Parry, Category Manager with Fife Council, said: “Using our experience of communal and district heating schemes, we’ve created the heat metering and billing multi-supplier framework. The goal of the framework is to support organisations, who supply heat through communal and district heating schemes, to comply with the regulations. We look forward to working with suppliers and local authorities.”

The framework is the first of its kind for Fife Council, meaning any local authority or social housing provider is able to procure services, safe in the knowledge that these services will be delivered at the best possible value for money from a competent and trust-worthy supplier that has already been through a strict and rigorous selection process.

Charlie Drysdale, Regional Director, Pinnacle Power in Scotland commented: “What Fife Council has created, is an innovative approach that offers councils and social housing providers an efficient framework for hiring trusted suppliers in metering and billing. Without a universal framework, procurement processes can become time consuming, costly, and inconsistent. However what Fife has developed, allows Pinnacle Power to provide across Scotland the high quality of service that customers on energy networks deserve. We’re delighted to be on the framework and look forward to working with local partners across Scotland.”

Toby Heysham, Managing Director, Pinnacle Power said: “We as a company continue to push boundaries and identify areas to innovate in. We have spent a lot of time and effort developing software to allow for a best in class customer service. We recognise that while many customers want to talk to someone efficient and friendly, many really want to manage their own service, online, in the middle of the night and within three clicks. Our offering allows customers the ability to choose how they look at their usage, pay for their supply or interact with our team. We want to continue working with innovators like Fife Council, who have the same focus on efficiencies, through procurement frameworks like this.”
