New homes worth £18.3m have been completed across Burnley thanks to a partnership between Calico Homes, Ring Stones Maintenance and Construction and award-winning architects BTP.
A total of 133 affordable homes have been built across four sites and are part of Calico’s wider plans to build new homes across East Lancashire.
At Station Road in Padiham, a previously disused piece of land has been transformed into a £9.5m development of 66 houses, bungalows and apartments for affordable rent providing greatly needed homes that have been warmly welcomed by local residents.
In Nelson, the £4.3m Priory Chase scheme had brought 33 new homes for affordable rent to the area in partnership with Pendle Borough Council and Homes England.
Elsewhere a £3m scheme of 24 bungalows at Florence Avenue offers residents a garden, driveway and beautiful views of Pendle Hill. The development offers a mixture of independent living homes for over 55s, supported living for those requiring additional care and homes ideal for young families
The hope is to create a vibrant and multigenerational neighbourhood.
