Pagabo hits £2bn social value enabled milestone

Framework organisation Pagabo has surpassed £2bn in social value enabled by works procured through its suite of frameworks over the last three years.

The landmark comes as the company has furthered its ongoing commitment to enabling social value by announcing a partnership with Social Profit Calculator (SPC), the market leading online tool helping organisations account for value enabled.

SPC uses robust government data and methodologies to help organisations understand their social, economic and environmental impact and evidence the value created for communities, businesses and economies.

Simon Toplass, Chief Executive Officer of Pagabo, said: “Enabling positive social impact for individuals, communities and businesses throughout the UK is one of our core business values at Pagabo, so we are really proud to have hit such a significant milestone in this area.

“These figures have been enabled through our full suite of frameworks, and we’re looking forward to continue to demonstrate our commitment to continuous improvement with our new Major Works and Professional Services frameworks put out to tender earlier this year. The successful companies selected will be announced in the near future, and we look forward to working with them all to enable the maximum social impact possible.”

Having used SPC to calculate its own social value for three years, Pagabo decided to formalise its relationship with SPC and further embed it into the services it offers for clients and suppliers. The partnership will see Pagabo customers receive a preferential rate when using SPC, making social value calculations more accessible for those who use the framework.

Simon continued: “Bringing SPC closer to our ecosystem was the logical next step in furthering the close working relationship we have built together over the last few years. It allows the tool to have more involvement and influence in what we do, which directly benefit clients.

“When it comes to frameworks, Pagabo is and always has been a social value pioneer. It is absolutely at the heart of what we do, and we make a conscious effort to be as directly involved as possible. The more we do this, the more we can help our clients and those who benefit from the social value.

“We care passionately about enabling social value and by working closely with SPC, we can help advance the use of technology in this field.”

Accredited by Social Value UK, SPC helps businesses show the real value of the work they are doing across their projects and demonstrate the tangible social value they enable for local economies.

Mark Bolger, Chief Executive Officer of Social Profit Calculator said: “We’re very excited to work even more closely in partnership with Pagabo going forward. The company has been one of the most pioneering users of the tool over the last few years, and the results it has achieved have been a testament to that.

“SPC has helped its clients demonstrate more than £20bn of social value, economic impact and environmental sustainability throughout the UK since 2015, and we currently work with more than 50 clients across a range of sectors.

“We’re looking forward to continuing our great relationship with Pagabo and helping it illustrate the great value it is enabling across the UK.”
