Orbit celebrates gold safety awards for seventh consecutive year

Orbit has been recognised by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for best practice in both health and safety and customer safety for the seventh consecutive year.

The not-for-profit housing provider won gold awards in both categories, demonstrating its dedication to keeping colleagues, customers, clients and contractors safe.

Now in its 69th year, and with almost 2,000 entries annually from over 50 countries, covering over seven million employees, the RoSPA Awards are the world’s largest health and safety awards programme, recognising those organisations and individuals who have set the highest standards in accident prevention.

Afzal Ismail, Chief Regulatory and Governance Officer at Orbit, commented: “Receiving RoSPA awards for the seventh consecutive year is a tremendous honour and a testament to the unwavering commitment of every member of the Orbit team. Safety is not just a policy for us, it’s a core value embedded in our culture. This recognition from RoSPA reinforces our dedication to protecting our colleagues, customers, partners, and communities every single day.”

Julia Small, RoSPA’s Growth Director, said: “Orbit should be proud of the hard work and commitment to keeping people safe that has resulted in a RoSPA Award, which honours those organisations who have achieved the highest standards in health and safety in the workplace.

“RoSPA regards Orbit as a strong example of the importance of making accident prevention central to any successful organisation, not just for the benefit of employees, customers and clients, but also society as a whole.”
