Housing providers Orbit and Notting Hill Genesis have successfully agreed a property deal for 48 homes in Hammersmith and Fulham, plus a further 11 in Barnet.
Commenting on the deal, Group Director of Customer and Communities at Orbit, Paul Richards, said: “We are delighted to complete this transfer with Notting Hill Genesis. As a registered provider with a greater local presence in the area than Orbit, we believe this news will have long-term benefits for customers and provide a positive impact for the local community.
“This transaction is part of our densification strategy. By optimising our property portfolio to create operational economies of scale, we are able to improve services for customers and further our work to ensure long-term, sustainable economic growth.”
The transfer, follows Notting Hill Genesis’s purchase of 50 affordable homes in Islington last year, reiterating its commitment to providing social and affordable housing all across London.
Over recent weeks the team at Notting Hill Genesis has been engaging with its new residents, ensuring they know about the work it does and what it stands for. The team has also held events so customers can meet their dedicated local officers.
