Novus vows to Build Back Better through launch of new initiative

Novus Property Solutions has launched a new charitable challenge for 2021 as part of its vision to be a force for good, which will see its colleagues, clients, supply chain and the wider community encouraged to nominate a deserving cause to receive funding from the company.

The contractor’s new charitable and social value initiative will encompass three focus areas: reducing poverty, good health and wellbeing, and environmental action — all of which were chosen by Novus colleagues through a company-wide vote.

As part of the Build Back Better initiative, Novus will contribute up to £5,000 each quarter to a selected project which will be decided upon by a panel comprising colleagues from across the business based on where the donation will have the biggest impact. Any projects can be nominated, as long as they fit into the three key focus areas.

Build Back Better is set to launch in February 2021, with the first funding recipient to be announced on the week of the 15th March.

Commenting on the Build Back Better initiative, Kevin Rhone, Social Value and CSR Partner at Novus Property Solutions said: “Novus has a longstanding history of carrying out charitable and socially responsible initiatives, and giving back to the communities in which we work has always been a key part of this. The impact that COVID-19 has had on society has been felt far and wide, so we feel that this challenge is needed now more than ever.

“We’re encouraging anyone who knows of an organisation, project or vulnerable person that would benefit from Build Back Better to send a nomination by visiting our website, and we’re looking forward to seeing the positive impact this initiative will have in 2021.”
