Leading national maintenance, compliance and decarbonisation contractor Novus Property Solutions has announced the appointment of longstanding colleague Lee Hartley as Chief Executive Officer, effective 1st January 2024.
Lee Hartley has dedicated his entire 25-year career to the Seddon family business, which has a rich 125-year history, having joined as a trainee Quantity Surveyor in 1996. With the contractor’s support, Lee has since worked his way up the company, holding various commercial and operational positions prior to being appointed to its board in 2013, when Novus was launched as its own trading entity.
As a board member, Lee has occupied various roles including Chief Operating Officer and most recently Executive Director. Within these roles, Lee has played a significant role in the implementation of growth and development strategies, ensuring Novus’ core values, known as ‘the Novus Way’, are embedded into every aspect of delivering projects for customers. As CEO, Lee will continue to drive the contractor’s growth across its core markets.
Prior to assuming his new role in the new year, Lee will work closely with outgoing CEO Steve Davies for a comprehensive handover which will ensure the company is well-prepared to begin its new era.
Commenting on his new role, Lee said: “It is an honour to be appointed as CEO for Novus Property Solutions by its board and the Seddon family, who have supported me throughout my career.
“As Novus celebrates its 10th anniversary, it has been a year of both reflection on what has been achieved so far and looking ahead to the future of the business. It’s an incredibly exciting time for Novus, and I am thrilled to be entrusted with driving continued growth across our core sectors as well as new markets.”
Chairperson of Novus Property Solutions and Chief Executive Officer of parent company JSSH Group, Michelle Owen, commented: “I am delighted that the JSSH Board has appointed Lee Hartley as our new CEO.
“Lee has dedicated his whole career to Novus, working tirelessly for our business and the Seddon family for more than 25 years. He has been a trusted, highly respected and influential member of the Novus board for over 10 years, and played a critical role in our success during that time. Lee epitomises our deep-rooted Novus values and the time is right for him to take on this new role which he does with our full support.”
