Novus awarded large maintenance contract in home city Stoke-on-Trent

Novus Property Solutions has been awarded a significant maintenance contract by Unitas to carry out maintenance works on 66 properties in Stoke-on-Trent.

Residents of the Barratt Gardens and Woodhead Road properties will benefit from new roofs, roofline renewal works, PVC-U windows and new composite doors. Some of the properties will also have entrance ramps installed as part of the works, which is being carried out in-line with the latest Construction Leadership Council safety operating procedures.

Unitas and Novus will work in partnership to ensure all residents of the properties where maintenance works will take place will receive communication to explain its Covid-19 secure working practices, which will be in place while working on the homes in order to deliver the project safely while maintaining excellent customer service and high standards of work.

Novus, which is based in Stoke-on-Trent, is due to commence works in late January 2021 with the project expected to be completed within 36 weeks.

Martyn Hammond, Operations Manager at Novus, commented: “This contract win is a great success for Novus which demonstrates our reputation within the housing maintenance sector, particularly within our home city of Stoke-on-Trent. It also further cements our relationship with Unitas, proving us to be a contractor Unitas can trust to carry out works to a high standard.

“The project shows our commitment as a business to the Stoke-on-Trent area, with the maintenance works set to increase our local recruitment and purchasing.”

Unitas’ Head of Planned, Mechanical and Electrical, Mark McGill, added: “This project is a further example of how Unitas and our supply chain partners are working together to bring improvements to the homes of our customers in the City of Stoke-on-Trent. As we continue to deliver our planned improvement programmes it is vital that Unitas forms positive relationships with our contractors who add value to the local community; it is particularly rewarding that a company with local roots is undertaking this work.”
