Platform Housing Group has completed the land purchase for a development that will offer 84 affordable homes at Great Haddon in Peterborough.
The social landlord which manages almost 50,000 homes across the Midlands is once again working with Vistry Homes to deliver the project. The agreement is the second phase of the site and will see 40 homes available for affordable rent and 44 for shared ownership.
Groundworks have commenced and building works are due to start in February 2024 with the first properties handed over at the end of the same year whilst the entire scheme is set to be completed in February 2026.
Director of Land and Partnerships Michael Baggett said: “It’s fantastic to see phase two given the green light allowing us to deliver more affordable housing for the Peterborough area. Platform believes we must keep building homes and this site will contribute to our ambitions of helping to provide much needed housing solutions.”
