Housing associations Mount Green and Greenoak have announced the formation of a new common board, with Martin Large appointed as Chair.
Both housing providers are part of the Stonewater group and collectively manage more than 2,000 homes across Surrey and Sussex.
Operating across the same geographical area and offering localised services for residents, establishing a common board will strengthen both organisations’ ability to meet the needs of their communities by working closely together and pooling their local knowledge and approaches.
The newly formed common board has been appointed, following a selection process, from existing board members from both organisations combining a wealth of cross-sector, as well as housing, experience.
Martin has worked in the housing sector as a Non-executive Director for more than 10 years and has been Chair of Greenoak since 2019. On the creation of Mount Green and Greenoak’s common board, Martin said: “Working together means we can strengthen our local service to Mount Green and Greenoak residents, while also leveraging the wider benefits of being part of the Stonewater group.”
The announcement coincides with Mount Green’s current chair David Hunter stepping down from his role after nearly four years. Mr Hunter will remain a member of the board until the autumn to support a smooth transition.
