The 31st London Development Conference 2018, organised by the National Housing Federation, will take place on 21st November at etc. venues, Prospero House, London. The event provides development information and guidance on the challenges and opportunities affecting London’s housing developers.
Advisory board members, who themselves are directly involved in London’s changing development landscape, have shaped the content of the London Development Conference. Advisory Board Member Lisa Shead, Senior Business Development Manager at Moat said: “With housing and affordable housing in particular so high on the political agenda, the London Development Conference provides a significant opportunity to discuss and debate the very real issues that face our industry.”
This year’s event features a series of high-level strategic debates, covering some of the most critical topics affecting London developers, including whether London’s housing market will rise from its slumber and how to best ensure that regeneration does not lead to gentrification. Delegates will also have the opportunity to tailor the day to meet their team’s needs and select from three content streams: land and acquisition; planning and design; or construction and delivery.
The event provides a unique opportunity for individuals with specific interest in development in the London area to exchange ideas and build partnerships with like-minded influencers and professionals. The event brings together housing association development teams, local authorities, planners, architects, lenders, developers and housebuilders. Delegates will hear from top speakers from organisations including GLA, L&Q Group and London Splash. This year’s sponsors include Apex Airspace, Bevan Brittan, London Square, Savills and Zurich Insurance.
“There has never been a more pressing time for new housing supply in London and South-east England,” said Dave Smith, External Affairs Manager at the National Housing Federation. “To meet the huge challenges before us we need the information and the relationships that matter. With a thoughtful blend of strategic and operational sessions across the day, led by engaging speakers, the London Development Conference is a valuable networking and business opportunity not to be missed.”
