Launched in 2021, Muir Living can now offer five independent living locations supporting over 60s to live lifestyles they love as part of creative and caring communities.
With 22 one-bed apartments, a two-bed house, gardens, a communal lounge, kitchen and laundry facilities, Muir Living Manager, Emma Davies, says Shalom Lodge’s York Road location, just metres from the beach, is the perfect place for Muir Living to expand its offer.
“We’re delighted to welcome Shalom Lodge and all its residents to continue enjoying lifestyles they love with Muir Living,” Emma said. “Shalom Lodge is in a fantastic location with intimate gardens and only a stone’s throw from the sea.
“We’re excited to see Muir Living expand while providing a caring and creative community with our regular ‘Brighter Days’ events and opportunities for residents.”
Constructed in 1992, the purpose-built Shalom Lodge scheme is the latest location to join the Muir Living brand after officially transferring from Manchester Jewish Housing Association on August 15th, 2022.
Also benefiting from car parking, scooter storage and an on-site guest room, the transfer of Shalom Lodge was secured by the Assets and Growth Team at Muir Group Housing Association.
Alex Fury, the Association’s Assistant Director of Assets and Growth said: “We have an increasing affordable housing footprint in Blackpool and Fylde and we are delighted to secure the transfer of Shalom Lodge for Muir Living.
“Most importantly, this transfer will also secure the futures of Shalom Lodge residents and is a wonderful addition to Muir Living and Muir Group Housing Association as a whole.”
Muir Living locations now include Bury, Chester, Ellesmere Port, Godmanchester and Lytham St Annes.
