Surrey and Sussex-based housing provider Raven Housing Trust has taken management of its first scheme as part of its partnership with Legal & General Affordable Homes (LGAH).
Raven is one of 14 housing associations appointed as management partners to LGAH and will be supporting the organisation across the South East. The aim of the partnership is to support LGAH in tackling the housing crisis by increasing the provision of affordable housing and improving overall customer service delivery.
The first handover of new homes from LGAH to Raven took place in September, with nine homes at Keymer Tiles in Burgess Hill. Comprising five two-bedroom houses, as well as four one-bedroom flats, Raven began welcoming the scheme’s new residents on the 9th September.
To support local housing need, most of the homes are available for affordable rent with just one available for shared ownership.
Raven currently manages 6,000 homes across Surrey and Sussex including 89 affordable homes throughout the wider Keymer Tiles development.
Joanne Silner, Head of Customer Experience at Raven, said: “Our demonstrable commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, alongside our well-established presence in the area, means we are well placed to support the new residents at Keymer Tiles.
“We are always looking for new opportunities to collaborate and provide more high-quality, sustainable and affordable homes in our communities, so we’re delighted to have taken on the management of our first scheme through the LGAH partnership.”
Ben Denton, L&G Affordable Homes’ Chief Executive said: “We are delighted to be bringing forward our first scheme as part of our partnership with Raven Housing Trust and delivering new affordable homes for residents of Burgess Hill.
“Since formation, our business has secured over 6,500 homes and is investing patient institutional capital to build more affordable homes to bridge the gap between need and demand.”
Following the successful handover at Keymer Tiles, Raven is expected to take over management of a further 24 homes in Horsham and East Sussex in the coming months.
