Marley will be showcasing some of its latest roof system and product innovations at two major housing exhibitions later this year — Housing 2021 and Homes UK 2021.
Exhibiting at Housing 2021 (7th & 9th September in Manchester) and Homes UK 2021 (23rd & 24th November at London’s ExCel), visitors will be able to learn more about the company’s roof integrated solar system, Marley SolarTile and Roof Defence, its recently launched protective solution designed to improve fire risk safety and help mitigate against the danger of hidden roof fires.
According to the Energy Savings Trust, a typical home could save between 1.3 and 1.6 tonnes of carbon per year and make a saving of up to £260 on the annual electricity bill by installing solar panels. With legislation changes coming from the Future Homes Standard and interim changes to Part L, housing providers and developers are now turning to sustainable solutions, and the demand for reliable and high performing solar panel roofing systems is expected to increase.
At both shows, Marley will be demonstrating its Marley SolarTile, a fully integrated solar roofing solution that works seamlessly with existing roofing structures. In addition, visitors keen to learn more about a greener and cost-effective energy source for use on residential developments, as well as one that comes with appealing kerbside aesthetics, long-life durability, and ease of installation, will be able to discuss potential projects on stand with Marley’s solar experts.
Alongside details and samples of the company’s extensive full roof system and product portfolio, Marley will also be demonstrating its Roof Defence system. Helping to combat the potential for hidden roof fires to spread, the Roof Defence fire barrier system is an innovative, next generation solution that helps to meet Building Regulations requirements which stipulate that all new homes are built with fire protection measures to delay the spread of fire in roof spaces.
The Roof Defence fire barrier features two strips of intumescent material bonded at 90 degrees, with an inverted T design, that can be simply installed under tiles and between roof battens to close all gaps in the event of fire. Whereas some other systems are rigid, Roof Defence is flexible, lightweight, and supplied on a roll ensuring that it is easy to install.
You can visit Marley on stand B21 at Housing 2021 and at Homes UK 2021 on stand H534.
