Lovell invites West Wales supply chain to ‘Meet the Buyer’

Partnership homes developer Lovell is inviting West Wales construction firms and tradespeople to find out about opportunities to work with the expanding Cardiff-based homes specialist at a free networking event on Thursday 7th November.

Lovell, which is known for its work building, refurbishing and maintaining homes and communities across the region, wants to hear from contractors covering the West Wales area.

The Meet the Buyer event will be taking place at Bridge Innovation Centre at Pembrokeshire Science and Technology Park, near Pembroke Dock, from 1pm to 5pm.

Lovell’s continued growth across its South Wales and South West region has led to an ever-increasing number of exciting projects, including a newly secured project in Haverfordwest, in partnership with Ateb Group. Work on the development, which is on Slade Lane, is expected to commence in the new year and will deliver a collection of 115 two, three and four-bedroom homes over a two-year period.

Locally, Lovell plans to complete work on an estimated 320 homes this year and company’s regional forward order book is currently at £120m.

Lovell is inviting West Wales construction firms and tradespeople to find out about possible opportunities to work.

James Duffett, Regional Managing Director at Lovell, said: “The Meet the Buyer event is an excellent opportunity to find out more about our work and approach to partnership working.

“We are always keen to hear from people who want to work with us and look forward to hearing about what skills they can bring to the team.

“As a business, we are a firm believer of creating benefits for individuals and businesses in the areas that we operate and creating opportunities for them to work with us on our award-winning schemes.”

One of the current major schemes is the landmark west Cardiff development The Mill, a new urban village creating 800 open market sale and affordable homes. The development has achieved numerous awards, including Best Residential Development of the Year at Insider’s Wales Property Awards, NHBC Pride in the Job, and Best First Time Buyer Family Home title at the First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards.

Lovell’s £13.6m Oakfield Grange development in Llantarnam, Cwmbran, will also deliver a further 78 new homes in partnership with Bron Afon Community Housing.

Works are also progressing well on a development to construct 153 homes at Ymyl Yr Afon, in Merthyr Vale. The £25m development includes a mix of 110 open market homes and 43 affordable homes, which will be developed in partnership with Merthyr Tydfil Housing Association.
