South-west building firms and tradespeople can find out about opportunities to work with expanding Bristol-based Lovell at a free networking event on 28th February.
Lovell — which builds, refurbishes, regenerates and maintains homes and communities across the region — is inviting local construction contractors to the Meet the Buyer event. The company wants to hear from contractors covering South Gloucestershire, Bristol, Bath and North-east Somerset, Wiltshire, Somerset and Devon.
Lovell Regional Managing Director Kate Rees said: “Our continuing growth across the South-west has led to an ever-increasing number of projects locally. We are very interested in meeting supply chain partners with the relevant experience and expertise to help us deliver major new homes schemes as well as housing refurbishment programmes.
“The Meet the Buyer event is an excellent opportunity to find out more about those opportunities as well as get to know our team and our approach to partnership working. We are always keen to hear from people with the right skills who want to work with us. As a business, we are a firm believer in creating benefits for local people and businesses in the areas where we operate. Providing the chance for local firms and individuals to work with us is a big part of that community commitment.”
In South Wales and the South-west, Lovell’s regional forward order book exceeds £100m with the company set to complete just under 400 new homes across the region during 2018. Major refurbishment schemes include a £42.3m contract to install new kitchens and carry out rewiring at around 10,750 Bristol City Council homes and a two-year contract for Swindon Borough Council to install replacement kitchens in council homes. Lovell is also working on an £8.4m contract to deliver 72 affordable homes in south Gloucestershire for Merlin Housing Society through a regeneration programme for pre-cast reinforced concrete (PRC) homes.
