Lampton Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of the London Borough of Hounslow, has announced the appointment of Alan Townshend as Interim Group Managing Director.
Alan brings more than 36 years’ experience working in the social housing sector. He held the role of Chief Executive at Southern Housing where he led the business merger with Optivo to become one of the largest housing associations in the UK. He also has experience of running a Local Authority Trading Company (LATCo), most recently acting as the Interim Managing Director for HTS Group, the commercial company owned by Harlow Council.
The appointment comes as Martin Cresswell, current Executive Chair, steps back into the role of Chairman. In his new role, Alan will continue to harness the partnership with the London Borough of Hounslow and lead the Lampton Group in successfully and sustainably delivering exemplary services for Hounslow residents.
Commenting on his appointment, Alan said: “I am delighted to join Lampton Group. The business is at an exciting stage of development, having evolved significantly in recent years to deliver exemplary services, leisure and wellness facilities and housing solutions on behalf of Hounslow to residents all over the borough.
