Social housing provider LACE Housing has been given the green light to build 82 specialist homes for older people in Ingham, Nettleham and Washingborough.
The Government’s Homes and Communities Agency has approved a £2.6m bid for the developments as part of its Shared Ownership and Affordable Homes Programme, which aims to increase the supply of a wide range of housing options to older people in England by March 2021.
Lincoln-based LACE Housing is working in partnership with West Lindsey and North Kesteven District Councils to create a mixture of rented and shared ownership properties for which, subject to planning approval, building work is anticipated to begin in the summer.
The building programme will include 12 one and two-bedroom apartments in Ingham, 14 two-bedroom bungalows and 26 two-bedroom apartments in Nettleham and eight two-bedroom bungalows and 22 two-bedroom apartments in Washingborough.

Applications for planning are currently under way and it is estimated that the new housing will be available to residents from the end of 2018.
