Ian Williams, one of the UK’s largest independently-owned property services companies, announces it has started work on a new £multi-million repairs and maintenance contract with leading housing association Stonewater.
With responsibility for responsive repairs and empty homes, the contract encompasses at least 1,800 houses and has the potential to be extended to 15 years. The collaborative partnership aims to create a whole asset management solution, with plans to include planned and cyclical works across Stonewater’s homes into Ian Williams’ workstreams.
Anthony Pycraft, Ian Williams’ Response Operations Director commented: “We are delighted to have secured this long-term partnering contract with Stonewater. This new contract to look after homes in the wider central region, including Northampton, East Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, is a natural extension for us, as we’re already overseeing repairs for Stonewater’s homes in the North, South East and East Midlands.
“Thanks to this existing partnership over the last couple of years, we truly understand and value Stonewater’s dedication to service excellence and their Customer Promise, and as a national provider of Responsive Repairs we know just how much of a positive impact a first class repairs service has on the customer experience.
“Our strategy at Ian Williams is based on forging long-term, successful partnerships with our customers as we know that this drives the ability to add real value for our clients. This in turn results in a positive, lasting impact on the homes that they provide. With the potential to extend this contract to a 15-year term, this really demonstrates the commitment that both Stonewater and Ian Williams have to this partnership.
“We look forward to continuing our journey with Stonewater, building on the solid work we’ve carried out in other regions, and enhancing the excellent working relationship already in place, and with the support of our planned and painting teams within the business, we are excited about moving to the provision of a full end to end Asset Management solution.”
Catherine Evans, Director of Homes at Stonewater, said: “Partnering with businesses whose values align with our own is an important part of the decision and procurement process, as we are asking them to ensure the care of our customers and their homes.
“Ian Williams places a strong emphasis on putting the customer at the heart of their work, similar to our own Customer Promise. This alongside their commitment to self-delivery, meaning they rarely subcontract work out, enables them to ensure the quality of every job. Working together we are confident that we can deliver on our commitment to developing and maintaining homes where our customers are proud to live.”
