Ian Williams, one of the UK’s largest independently-owned property services companies, has started work on a new multi-million pound responsive repairs and voids contract with leading housing provider Staffs Housing for potentially the next five years.
Sharing values with the ultimate objective of creating quality, affordable homes, the two organisations are embarking on what they both describe as a programme not only of home repairs and bringing empty properties back to life, but one that goes beyond the bricks and mortar to the people inside.
Ant Pycraft, Ian Williams’ Response Operations Director commented: “We are delighted to have secured this contract and look forward to working closely with the team at Staffs Housing. Our directly-employed responsive and emergency repairs and maintenance teams undertake more than 300,000 visits a year, responding to faults like leaks, heating, security and window and door problems. Fully managed and delivered by our mobile asset management system iwsys, and supported through a dedicated help desk, iwhub, we have huge experience and skills in ‘first-time’ repairs and improving key to key times.
“Culture and values are just as important as the actual physical work we do and one of the reasons we’re so excited to be working with Staffs Housing is that they share these values, like always doing our best; keeping promises; providing solutions not problems and listening to feedback. Customers are our Number one focus and it’s always with resident and leaseholders best interests in mind that our teams carry out work in their homes. It’s these shared values that we collectively believe will help us establish, nurture and grow a strategic long-term relationship with Staffs Housing.”
Contract & Compliance Manager Jon Parkes said: “We are really excited about working with Ian Williams. We share the same passion for quality homes and welcome their vast expertise and experience in the housing sector. We take our customer relationships seriously so joining an organisation that share our supportive, reliable, current and real values is important. We want to make sure our residents remain proud to call our properties their home, and believe together, Staffs Housing and Ian Williams can achieve this.”
