Ian Atkinson joins Two Rivers Housing as new Corporate Director of Property

Ian Atkinson has joined Two Rivers Housing as its new Corporate Director of Property.

The newly created role will see him take the lead on all property related matters including asset management, development, and property services. He will also take on overall responsibility for the Group’s facilities management and repairs company Centigen.

Ian joins Two Rivers Housing from Milestone Trust, where he held the position of Director of Estates, Facilities and IT. Prior to this, he was Director of Assets and Property Services at Tai Calon Community Housing and has also held director level roles at Adra and Monmouthshire Housing.

He is a Chartered Surveyor with a proven track record for delivering strategic projects that encompass asset investment, acquisitions and disposals, redevelopment, and maintenance, as well as embedding Value for Money and improving customer satisfaction across an organisation.

Commenting on his new role, Ian said: “I’m really looking forward to getting to know the team at Two Rivers Housing and working with them to drive their asset management strategy forward. This is an exciting time to be joining the organisation as it embarks on a new chapter in its history, and I am really looking forward to being part of that.”

Garry King, Two Rivers Housing Chief Executive, who recently announced he will be stepping down in January 2024, added: “It’s great to have Ian on board as part of the executive team and I am looking forward to working with him over the next few months. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will be incredibly valuable to the Group, as we start to reshape our approach to asset management and tackle the challenge of reaching net zero carbon by 2050.”

“Together with the rest of the leadership team, Ian will play a key part in ensuring that Two Rivers Housing continues to provide warm, safe, affordable homes for its communities for many years to come.”

Two Rivers Housing currently provides more than 4,400 affordable homes for families in Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas.
