Property maintenance provider Horbury Property Services has been successful in becoming an approved fire safety contractor on the procurement framework Re:allies.
Re:allies is a partnership between Procure Plus, Efficiency North and the Central Housing Investment Consortium, and has selected approved companies across four areas of the country as part of its new Fire Risk and Mitigation Framework. Horbury Property Services has been approved to provide fire compartmentation and fire stopping works to the Wales, Midlands and South areas.
The framework is for a four year period and was designed with the help of the Greater Manchester High Rise Taskforce, which was set up in the aftermath of the Grenfell Tower tragedy to help deal with fire safety issues.
Richard Sutton, General Manager at Horbury Property Services, said: “We’re delighted to be an approved fire safety contractor on the Re:allies framework. Using approved contractors on this framework gives social housing providers the reassurance that the work will be carried out to the highest standard, whilst protecting tenants and the housing stock.”
Paul Tennant, Chair of the Re:allies Partnership, added: “This is a critically important matter for the housing industry and we have worked with the Greater Manchester High Rise Taskforce in its development and packaged the framework so that it is not subject to variations in pricing.”
Horbury Property Services provides a full range of repair, refurbishment and maintenance works. This includes inspection, installation, repair and maintenance of fire doors, joinery works, fire stopping, sealing, fire compartmentation, planned preventative maintenance regimes, portable appliance testing, electrical testing and installation work, building fabric repairs as well as external cladding and render repairs. In addition, the wider Horbury Group provides dry wall partitioning, painting and decorating, ceiling and flooring upgrades and de-mountable screens, amongst others.
The company has regional offices in London and South Wales together with a South Yorkshire Head Office, ensuring a national capability. This regional presence enables its teams to successfully deliver responsive repairs or large planned refurbishment and maintenance programmes.
