Hightown Housing Association has appointed Natalie Sturrock as its new Director of Housing.
Natalie has been Head of Housing at Hightown since 2015, after joining the housing association as a graduate trainee in 2008. Between 2008 and 2015, Natalie worked in various roles in Home Ownership, Care & Supported Housing and Housing Management.
Hightown builds homes and provides services to residents across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire. The Director of Housing is responsible for Lettings, Income Recovery, Housing, Home Ownership, Asset Management, Repairs, Property Services, Procurement, Voids and Caretaking services.
Last year, Hightown delivered 610 new affordable homes. 38% of lettings were allocated to homeless households, delivering a social impact and contributing to ending the homelessness crisis.
The appointment is a real success story for Hightown’s graduate training programme as she joins Gemma Richardson (joint Director of Care & Supported Housing) as the second graduate trainee to become a Director.
Natalie Sturrock said: “Ever since I started at Hightown, I have been passionate about the customer facing side of housing. I am committed to enhancing our services to residents, increasing and improving the way residents engage with us and ensuring everyone has a safe place to call home.
I started as a graduate trainee, after completing my degree as a mature student.
