Cygnus, a leader in fully wireless, fire detection and alarm systems suitable for permanent environments, will be launching its EN 54 certified SmartNet range to the housing market at Housing 2023 on stand E44.
The Cygnus Group will be exhibiting at Housing 2023, the must-attend event for local authorities, housing associations, key partners and suppliers, government, housebuilders, and developers, which takes place on 27th – 29th June at Manchester Central.
Cygnus’ EN 54 certified SmartNet system is the world’s first 100% wireless fire alarm and detection system. The ‘Made in Britain’ registered SmartNet is said to be a game changer for housing associations, local authorities and those involved with the housing market. For the first time, it offers the sector a fully wireless system, which is quick and easy to install, and can be scaled effectively from small to large installations, as well as being ideal for retrofit applications. SmartNet leverages the latest wireless technologies, and with no need for wired boosters, translators, or any other wired element, it removes the often stressful first fix stage of an install.
In existing properties, installing a wireless system ensures minimal disruption for residents and with reduced downtime and installation can often be completed in a matter of hours, rather than days or weeks.
“After launching our SmartNet alarm system earlier this year, we’re looking forward to introducing the fully wireless solution at Housing 2023 for the first time,” said Austen Wells, Sales Manager at Cygnus Group. “SmartNet was born as a concept just over seven years ago, after listening to the industry and its needs. We believe it represents a significant leap forward in fire safety technology and are looking forward to demonstrating its capabilities.”
