Lobbying organisation Construction Alliance North East (CAN) has partnered with Mediaworks to deliver a digital-first approach to drive the region’s sector forward.
While digital transformation is a priority for 72% of construction firms globally, just one in three businesses in the sector spend less than 3% of their turnover on digital technologies.
Alongside digital partner Mediaworks, Construction Alliance North East recognised a need to have a platform that is fit for purpose and provides a more accessible website for its audience.
CAN Vice Chair and Federation of Master Builders (NORTH) Director Caroline Meehan said: “I cannot stress to North East builders how important it is for the future to have a digital presence and to undertsand the best ways to develop and grow your business through digital platforms.
“The new website gives a better portrayal of CAN and it provides a clearer message who we are as a representative of the North East construction sector and what we are aiming to achieve for our region’s businesses.”
The new website has delivered a more modern design, built around a user-friendly structure and interface, which allows CAN to manage and update their website with more ease.
Earlier this year, CAN and Mediaworks delivered an hour-long digital health check for North East construction firms. Mediaworks has helped to transform the online landscape for multiple leading UK construction firms, improving their digital offerings and allowing them to enhance their business efficiencies.
Chief Executive Brett Jacobson said: “Since partnering with CAN towards the end of 2020, we’ve been greeted by a forward-thinking construction community in the North East. Their dogital transformation is still only scratching the surface but there is scope for firms to really disrupt the market and create a clear, competitive advantage.”
